Who We Are: Maria Bailey, CEO and Founder

Maria T. Bailey is Founder and CEO of BlueSuitMom.com. As the mother of four and former Fortune 100 executive, Maria watched information-starved mothers search for information and tool to help them balance their family responsibilities while maintaining a career. She made it her mission to find these tools and deliver it to her professional colleagues around the globe. Maria is also the host of Mom Talk Radio, nationally syndicated radio show for moms, and host of The Balancing Act on Lifetime TV. She is also the creator of Smart Mom Solutions, a product line that offers solutions to everyday challenges for busy moms.

In addition to her media endeavors Maria is the CEO of BSM Media is a full service marketing and media firm that specializes in marketing to mothers. The clients include Disney, DaimlerChrysler, Cartoon Network, Nestle, AOL, The Discovery Channel, Chuck E. Cheese, Disney Publishing, Oracle, Microsoft, Clarke American, Dolly, Inc., Tahitian Noni International, and Office Depot. She has been an invited presenter to Burger King, Coca Cola, Best Buy, General Mills, Buena Vista Entertainment, and many other major corporations. Her book, “Marketing to Moms: Getting Your Share of the Trillion Dollar Market” (2002, Prima) is the first to examine the buying power of mothers and the most effective marketing initiatives to tap the $1.7 trillion market and is published in several languages. Maria’s newest book, “Trillion Dollar Moms: Marketing to a New Generation of Mothers>” (Dearborn, 2005) focuses on the emergence of Gen X and Gen Y moms and how they compare to Boomer Moms.

Maria has been a media resource on work/life/family balance, working mother, marketing and women business stories for outlets such as the British Broadcasting Corporation, CNBC, World News Tonight, CNN MONEY, Hearst Publications, “The Home Show”, WPLG ABC 10, The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Self, Smart Money, Parent, HomeChannel News and Entrepreneur. Ms. Bailey served as the on-air work and family balance expert on “Simplify Your Life” which aired on the Fine Living Network. She serves as the Family Organizing Expert for Office Depot.

Her first book is “The Women’s Home-Based Business Book of Answers” (2001, Prima). She is published in Child magazine, South Florida Parenting magazine, the Miami Herald, Family Times, E-Pregnancy, Direct Sales Magazine and American Baby magazine and serves as a business expert for several online publications.

She has informed and entertained audiences around the globe with her passion and charisma. She has presented at The International Direct Marketing Association Annual Conference, The International Volunteerism Conference, The National Association of Industrial Psychology, Alliance for Work/Life Professionals and many corporate sponsored seminars including Noni International’s Woman’s Health Summit, Highlights-Jigsaw National Convention, Johnson & Johnson and Southeast Toyota Lunch and Learn Series.
