Affordable Counseling

Question: Your Question: How can I find affordable counseling? Desta

Answer: I am assuming you don't have or don't want to use your insurance benefits. That being the case, I suggest you contact your local county or city community mental health center. They can offer you sliding scale fees.

Also, in many states, there are Family Service Agencies that do the same. In addition, call the local clinical social worker, professional counselor, and marriage and family therapy societies/associations. Sometimes their members offer reduced fees.

Finally, group psychotherapy is as or more beneficial than individual, and generally costs less per person, and many therapists offer that option. You might also contact any local group therapy associations that you find.
