Exercise of the Week

Push Ups

By Joni Hyde of WorkoutsForWomen.com

Pushups are one of the best ways to strengthen your chest, shoulders, arms abdomen and lower back too when done correctly. To get set up, lie face down on a mat.

Place your hands on either side of your shoulders, aligning your thumbs to the middle of your chest. Place your feet shoulder width apart. If you are a beginner, you can do this movement on your knees.

  • With your hands, push up off of the mat.
  • Pause for a moment at the top.
  • Exhale as you lower your body toward the floor. Your chest should come within about two inches from the floor.

Past Exercises of the Week:
Hoover
Squats
Prone Leg Raise
Chest Fly
Seated Bent Over Rear Fly
Tricep Dip
Walking Lunges
Concentration Curl
