Side Trip
A highly recommended side trip from Amelia Island is St. Augustine. Less than an hours drive heading south. St. Augustine is the oldest city in American and offers a day filled with history and fun. Visit Castillo de San Marco to walk through the halls of a real Spanish fort complete with cannons. The historical district has both walking tours and horse and buggy rides. Riply's Believe It or Not Museum stands at the edge of town in walking distance to everything.
