INSIDE FOOD: ASK THE CHEFTIPS & FUN IDEAS

Chicken Stock Step-By-Step

Use a large roasting pan to hold chicken pieces and vegetables like carrots, celery and peppers.

Roast in a 350 degree oven uncovered until the vegetables brown and the chicken is cooked.

Remove the meat from the chicken bones. Then place the bones and the vegetables into large pot and cover with water. Simmer for 2 more hours.

Strain the vegetables and chicken bones from the liquid to produce a richly flavorful stock for soups and sauces.
